title pic Four Months and the Bella Band

Posted by Emily on September 8, 2009

I hit four months sometime last week.  Within the last 5-6 days I have exited from constant morning sickness to waves throughout the day. Much preferable! It’s still a sure ticket to yackersville if I try to eat any ground beef or too much cheese, but that’s not so bad. You may recall a post several weeks ago when I mention that the morning sickness was getting better, yeah, that was a false alarm. It lasted about three days and I had heartburn so badly the whole time that it always hurt to eat. However, it really has been on the nausea wave plan for almost a week, so I’ve been a super happy camper. (Gee, I don’t think I’m going to barf all the time. Life is awesome! I realize how funny that sounds, but it’s true!) The heartburn has been pretty easy to control this week, too. Yay!

I still sleep a ton. David actually knows what I look like sleeping now. He also knows what I look like as I try to fake the dog out into thinking that I’m sleeping so that he’ll leave me alone…. Also, I think he likes to ask me questions at night when I get super out of it just to laugh at my responses. I don’t have any proof yet, but I’m working on it;)

So what do I look like you ask? Well, I’ve had some pictures taken of me in various poses to answer just that question, and also to introduce the bella band. It’s the most amazing maternity accessory you can find these days. My pants are totally unbuttoned in these pictures. The bella band is a piece of elastic meant to hold up your drawers while you are too small for maternity clothes and too big for your own pants. It just hangs out looking like an under shirt, and completely smooths away the zipper and button line, for those that don’t know you can’t button your pants. I thought I was ordering black, but this dark blue one has worked out rather nicely.  It’s Saaaweet. I know chicas that say they wore it their whole pregnancy. We’ll see.

"My stomach is going to get this big." OK, I have no idea what I was talking about just then... “My stomach is going to get this big.” OK, I have no idea what I was talking about just then…
But strangely, Joshua is doing the same thing in this picture. But strangely, Joshua is doing the same thing in this picture.
Abbey was worried about a blemish, so we agreed to cover it for her. That's another thing, being pregnant is hateful on your skin. Abbey was worried about a blemish, so we agreed to cover it for her. That’s another thing, being pregnant is hateful on your skin.
I will say, my butt and thighs certainly haven't suffered as of yet. They look good in these pictures:D
